Our meal deliveries are beyond just providing nutrition! Our friendly volunteers develop relationships and look forward to visiting our clients each day.
With the unstable economy and increase in cost of living, Meals on Wheels has found the necessity of fund raising even more essential to the organization's future.
Improve nutrition by providing meal service to the ill, disabled, and senior residents within the Norman city limits. The organization strives to improve the mental health of isolated recipients by providing visitation and to improve the well being of senior citizens in coordination with existing services in the Norman area.
Getting started with Meals on Wheels is simple. To qualify, applicants must live in Norman and be at least 62 years old, or provide a doctor’s note supporting the need for meal services.
If you think you may be eligible, call the Meals on Wheels office at (405) 321-7272. A team member will walk you through a short phone questionnaire and explain any information needed to determine your meal cost, which is based on a sliding fee scale.
Since the beginning of Meals on Wheels in January 1972, we have continued to serve the Norman community by providing nutritious meals through a partnership with Norman Regional Health System to the ill, elderly and disabled.
Our meal deliveries are beyond just providing nutrition! Our friendly volunteers develop relationships and look forward to visiting our clients each day. The visits insure the health of loved ones and to see that they are receiving a nutritious meal each day.
