Senior Poverty has jumped to 16.1%!
Thanks to your support, In 2010 Meals on
Wheels was able to deliver 71, 072 meals
to the ill, disabled, and senior members
of our community.
You Are
Our SAVING GRACE! Please
help to ensure
that the clients of Meals on Wheels of
Norman will receive the nutrition they
need and the dignity they deserve by Brown Baggin'
your lunch.
The Brown Baggin' It campaign asks Meals
on Wheels supporters to take or "brown
bag" their lunch and donate the money
they would have normally spent on lunch
out (weekly, monthly, or yearly) to
provide meals for homebound Meals on
Wheels clients.
Every $5
donated will provide one meal for an
ill, disabled, or elderly resident in
the Norman community. A donation of
$100 will provide meals for one month to
a friend in need.
We are asking
you to participate in the Annual Meals
on Wheels "Brown Baggin' It" Membership
Drive to provide the necessary funds
needed to keep this invaluable service
in our community. Meals on Wheels has a
positive impact on our recipients.
